Okatie, SC (April 22, 2016) — Beaufort-Jasper Water & Sewer Authority marks National Drinking Water Week 2016 with its annual Customer Appreciation Day Thursday, May 5 from 11 am to 2 pm at the BJWSA Administrative Building, located at 6 Snake Road in Okatie. The Authority will serve complimentary food and drink, as well as offer educational materials, giveaways and a drawing for a grand prize.

This year’s Drinking Water Week focuses on “Water: How can we build a future we want?” paying special attention to drinking water quality, efficiency and infrastructure. Local school children were invited to submit posters and essays on the theme, with one high school student and one middle school student winning iPads for their essays, and an elementary school student receiving a pizza party for his or her class for the winning poster.
